Sudarsan congratulates team for world’s tallest statue

Bhubaneswar: Noted sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Tuesday congratulated the entire team for creating world’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel through his sand art.

The Statue of Unity, a 182-metre giant structure built in honour of Sardar Patel, will be dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

The monument, touted as the world’s tallest statue, is built near the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Narmada district of Gujarat.

“As an artist, I would like to congratulate the entire team for creating world’s tallest statue which is a history. I have created a sand sculpture to give tribute to the iron man on his birth anniversary,” said Sudarsan.

Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a sand sculpture of him with message “Tribute to the Iron Man” at Puri beach of Odisha.

So far, Padma awardee sand artist Sudarsan has participated in more than 60 international sand sculpture championships and festivals around the world and won many prizes for the country.

He always tries to spread social awareness message around the world through his sculpture.
