Naveen takes oath as Odisha CM for fifth consecutive term


Bhubaneswar: Naveen Patnaik was on Wednesday sworn in as the Chief Minister of Odisha for a fifth consecutive term.

Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal administered the oath of office and secrecy to Patnaik at Idco Exhibition Ground here.

20 ministers were also administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor.

The cabinet ministers are Ranendra Pratap Swain, Bikram Keshari Arukh, Prafulla Kumar Mallick, Niranjan Pujari, Padmanabh Behera, Pratap Jena, Arun Kumar Sahoo, Sudam Marndi, Susant Singh, Naba Kishore Das and Tukuni Sahu.

Ministers of state Ashok Chandra Panda, Samir Ranjan Dash, Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, Dibya Shankar Mishra, Premananda Nayak, Raghunandan Das, Padmini Dian, Tusharkanti Behera and Jagannath Saraka were also administered oath by the Governor.

Several dignitaries including industrialists and Naveen’s sister Geeta Mehta attended the swearing-in ceremony.
