Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express flagged off


New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the aspiration of people and long-pending demand to connect Nayagarh Town with Bhubaneswar by train, the Indian Railway has introduced Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express on Tuesday.

Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan flagged off nine Sewa trains at New Delhi for better connectivity between small towns and major cities in various states of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Assam and Uttar Pradesh.

Sewa trains are short-haul trains, introduced to provide better connectivity between smaller towns and important cities. This is not only an initiative to ensure the last mile connectivity, but also for better utilise rolling stock.

Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town Sewa Express will leave Bhubaneswar at 18.40 hrs and will reach Nayagarh Town at 20. 45hrs. In return direction, this train will leave Nayagarh Town at 06.30 hrs and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 09.00hrs.
