Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will celebrate Diwali with the children of SOS village, Bhubaneswar on Sunday evening.
The Chief Minister also advised the Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, and officials of CMO to visit childcare institutions and celebrate Diwali with the children.
While all Collectors have also been asked to visit childcare institutions in their district, DGP and all senior police officers and SPs have been advised to spend time in battalions and celebrate Diwali there with jawans and their family members.
Chief Secretary will visit Chetna institution of special education near Swosti Premium hotel and interact with the inmates there.
Meanwhile, two renowned sand artists of Odisha, Sudarsan Pattnaik and Manas Sahoo have extended their Diwali wish to people through sand arts at Puri sea beach on Sunday.
They urged the people to celebrate green Diwali and not to burn crackers.
Sudarsan Pattnaik has sculpted a spectacular sand art of Goddess Kali face & fire with a caption, “Let’s Celebrate Green Diwali.”
Manas Sahoo sculpted a sand art depicting Goddess Kali’s face with the caption “Say No To Crackers This Diwali.”
