8th edition of Odisha MSME International Trade Fair-2020 from Jan 8

Bhubaneswar: The 8th edition of Odisha MSME International Trade Fair-2020 is scheduled to be held from January 8 to January 12 at IDCO Exhibition Ground here.

The event is organized by MSME Department through Directorate of Industries, Directorate of Export, Promotion and Marketing and Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) Ltd. The theme of the event is ‘Focus MSME @ 2020’.

The event comprises of display of MSME products, Buyer-Seller Meet, Technology demonstration, Startup, Innovation, Marketing avenue for women entrepreneurs through World Trade Centre (WTC), Sectoral Seminars, Business networking with foreign delegates from Iran (22) and Bangladesh (10).

During the Trade Fair, the MSMEs of the state will be able to showcase their products and avail networking opportunities like one-to-one meeting (B2B, B2C, B2G).

The five days long trade fair shall be hosted with a number of events like workshops and seminars on relevant topics. The cultural programmes on the art & culture of Odisha will be performed by eminent artists of the state every evening during the Trade Fair period.

The footfall for this is expected to be 3 lakh.

The Trade Fair consists of 4 Hangars with 70 stalls in each. Thus, there are 280 stalls for the display of MSME products.

Apart from this, there are 32 numbers of stalls meant for Technology Demonstration for exposure to the budding first generation entrepreneurs. The fair will also serve as a platform for entrepreneurs from traditionally non-industrial districts, to showcase their ventures before the international audience.

There are 28 stalls are meant for Government Departments and their support organizations (both Central and State).
