Sitharaman’s Budget 2020 based on triple themes

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said that the Budget 2020 will have three central themes.

The three themes are aspirational India, economic development and caring society.

The first theme that inspired the budget is aspirational India, wherein every section of the society will aspire for a better lifestyle, healthcare, and job opportunities.

The second is economic development for all and the third is a caring society that looks after the need of the weakest of India’s citizens.

The Finance Minister said the aspirational India theme covers agriculture, irrigation for rural development, commitment to double farmers’ income by 2022.

“Our government is committed to doubling farmers’ income by 2022. We have provided for 110 million farmers through PM Kisan Beema Yojana. Provision of annual assistance to the farmer is made sure through PM Kisan yojana,” said Nirmala Sitharaman.

The Budget 2020 proposed ‘comprehensive measures’ for 100 water-stressed districts across India.
