BJD to reserve 27% tickets for OBC candidates in Panchayat polls

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has decided to field 27 percent OBC candidates in the upcoming panchayat polls and subsequent elections.

BJD president Naveen Patnaik has approved the decision.

This was informed by Ministers Arun Sahoo and Ranendra Pratap Swain at a press conference here today.

The ruling party also asked other parties to take a similar step.
