Budhia Informs CWC Not To Return Sports Hostel

BHUBANESWAR: Wonder marathon boy Budhia Singh has informed the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Khurdha that he would not return the sports hostel in Bhubaneswar.

In a letter, Budhia and his mother Sukanti Singh on Friday informed the CWC that he would not to return the sports hostel, where he was staying since 2007.

The wonder boy had earlier complained that he was not being treated properly in the state-run hostel.

Earlier on Friday, the Commissionerate Police recorded the statement of Budhia Singh under section 164 of CrPC before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court here.

The police had on Thursday recorded the statements of Budhia and his mother under section 161 of the CrPC.

Notably, the police had registered a case of abduction following the complaint filed by the CWC.
