Bhubaneswar: The Mumbai Film Division of Union government has made a documentary on internationally acclaimed sand artist from Odisha Sudarsan Pattnaik and his spectacular work on the sand.
The documentary ‘Sand Says Something’ will be released at the Film Division in Mumbai on September 29.
The film will be released in two parts. While the shorter version containing five minutes ten second would be released on Thursday, the longer version would be 25 minutes, which is expected to be released in February next year, said Manoranjan Badatya, the director of the documentary.
He works as an editor at the Film Division.
“The film is based on Sudarsan Pattnaik and his sand work. It shows the achievements of the sand artist,” said Manoranjan.
The documentary has been filmed on the beaches of Chandrabhaga and Puri in Odisha.
“It’s an honour that Mumbai Film Division has created a documentary on me. It would definitely popularize the sand work among the people,” said Sudarsan Pattnaik.
Sudarsan Pattnaik, who has received Padma Sri, has participated in several national and international competitions. He has also brought laurels for the country by participating in international platforms.
