Odisha Govt Invites Tender For Auction Of Four Mines

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday issued a notification to auction four mines in the state.

The government issued the notification to e-auction three limestone and one manganese mines. The interested bidders can apply for tender and the last date for submission of bid is December 12.

The notification issued for the auction of Uskalvagau, Kottameta and Garraamora limestone mines and Laserda-Pacheri manganese ore mine.

The mines are located in Malkangiri, Keonjhar and Nuapada.

The state government has auctioned only one iron ore mines so far under the amended MMDR Act.

ESSAR Steel had bagged the Ghorhaburhani-Sagasahi iron ore block, which was auctioned earlier this year. The iron ore block having an estimated reserves of over 99 million tons (MT) is located in Koira area of Keonjhar district.
