Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly Narasingha Mishra on Friday said the Congress will have no truck with either BJD or BJP to form Zila Parishad in certain districts although the party’s performance was dismal in the just concluded Panchayat elections.
Mishra also rejected the allegation that it had a ‘nexus’ with either of the two parties. “We have no nexus either with the BJD or the BJP. There is also no possibility of joining hands with the two,” said Mishra.
“While the Congress has an ideological difference with the BJP, the party is strongly opposed to the BJD in Odisha. Therefore, there is no question of having any nexus with BJD or BJP,” said the senior Congress leader.
Congress action against turncoats
He said that his party would take strong action against those who were found having any political link with either of the two parties during the Panchayat election.
