Congress revival: Srikant Jena meets Jitendra Singh in New Delhi


Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Srikant Jena on Wednesday met newly-appointed Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh in New Delhi.

The meeting between the du came at a time when the party high command has summoned three leaders -Chiranjibi Biswal, Naba Das and Pradip Majhi- to New Delhi for a discussion on how to give a new lease of life to the moribund Congress organisation in Odisha.

The three leaders, before meeting the party high command Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, will meet the Odisha in-charge of party affairs Jitendra Singh.

They will also meet three AICC secretaries for Odisha – former MLAs Rudra Raju of Andhra Pradesh, former MLA of Delhi Anil Kumar Chaudhary and former MLA Shaikh Mastan Vali-today.

On Monday, Jitendra Singh had a meeting with three newly-appointed AICC secretaries and a joint secretary appointed for Odisha in New Delhi.

Notably, a section of party MLAs is demanding the ouster of incumbent PCC president Prasad Harichandan.
