Former Dhenkanal MLA Nabin Nanda arrested from spa in Kolkata

Kolkata/Bhubaneswar: Former Dhenkanal MLA Nabin Nanda was arrested during a raid at a spa that was allegedly running a sex racket in Kolkata. He was later released on bail.

There was suspense over missing of the former Dhenkanal lawmaker in Kolkata.

According to reports, Nabin Nanda was arrested from All About Family Spa in Park Street, Kolkata, which was allegedly run as a brothel.

Total 18 clients including Nanda and nine sex workers were arrested from the spa. Nabin was caught along with sex workers and was charged under Section 120 (B) of IPC.

Notably, Nanda had gone missing from the hotel where he was staying during his visit to Kolkata.

Later, Nanda was found to be in his hotel room in Shakespeare Sarani in Kolkata, said Sambit.

Reacting to the development, Nabin rubbished any connection with sex workers.

“I was out for shopping at around 7 PM on Saturday when got pickpocketed. I chased the miscreants into the concerned spa and came in the clutches of the police team which mistook me as a customer,” said the former Dhenkanal MLA.
