Complete admissions into elementary/secondary classes by July 15

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has directed District Education Officers (DEOs) to complete admissions into elementary/secondary classes for session 20121 by July 15.

The admission process will be conducted between 7 AM and 9.30 AM on all working days, said the School and Mass Education department in a letter.

It said that not more than five students/parents will be allowed at a time to visit school for admission.

The headmasters have been asked to ensure that COVID-19 precautionary measures such as using masks, social distancing and sanitization are followed strictly when students/parents come to school for admission.

These instructions will be applicable to all govt/aided and unaided recognized schools, Madrassa and Sanskrit tools under School and Mass Education department.

Notably, schools in the state have been closed since March 20 due to COVID-19 situation.
