Bhubaneswar: The very severe cyclonic storm Yaas made landfall along the Odisha coast on Wednesday morning with a wind speed of 130-140kmph gusting up to 150kmph.
The landfall process will take 3-4 hours to complete while Balasore and Bhadrak districts will bear the maximum impact.
The cyclone will cross north of Dhamra and south of Balasore close around Bahanaga block coast.
“Landfall process has begun, will take 3-4 hours to complete. Maximum impact will be in Balasore and Bhadrak districts. Wind speed will about 100kmph in Mayurbhanj dist also. Pray God to help people of the state,” informed Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena.
