Senior cadre Maoist gunned down in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A senior cadre Maoist was gunned down by security forces during an exchange of fire inside a reserve forest near Bhanjagunda in Padampur area of Bargarh, informed DGP Abhay on Friday.

The Maoist was killed during crossfire between the ultras and a joint team of SOG jawans and police near Bhanjagunda in Padampur.

Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the spot, said the DGP.
