The second convocation of the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi will be held tomorrow at the permanent campus situated at Cheri-Manatu,Kanke, Ranchi from 2:30 PM onwards.
Union Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Government of India Annpurna Devi will be the chief guest of the assembly and deliver the convocation address.
In this convocation the students of integrated courses (2015-20 Batch), students of post graduate courses(2018-20 Batch) and PhD.
Scholars will be conferred degrees. During the convocation a total of 761 students will be awarded the degrees out of which 29 students will be honoured with Gold Medals and one with the Chancellor’s Medal. The number of students being awarded Doctoral Degrees is 30.
The Chancellor’s medal will be awarded to M.Sc. Mathematics gold medalist of the session 2018-20, Ms Pratisha Mishra.
The University will allow only the academic staff members, degree recipients along with their parents and media persons to attend the convocation in physical mode. All the other persons are advised to view the convocation ceremony through live webcasting on the YouTube channel of the university available on the university website www.cuj.ac.in
In the convocation, the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Kshiti Bhusan Das will present the Vice Chancellor’s report highlighting the remarkable academic and extracurricular activities as well as achievements of the University. He will also share the future plan of action of the institution.
The university has completed 13 years of its existence. It was established in 2009 along with 12 other Central Universities. The first convocation was organized before covid pandemic in February 2020. The university has achieved many academic laurels so far and presently in the process of shifting to its permanent campus.
