Fire mishap in Rourkela hospital; newborn critical

Rourkela: A six-day-old infant became critical after a fire engulfed the Nursery Department of a private hospital in Rourkela Civil Township on Friday night.

The infant has been shifted to the Ispat General Hospital for further treatment, said sources.

The fire was extinguished immediately and checked from spreading to other places due to prompt action of some hospital employees, sources added.

However, the exact reason behind the spread of fire is yet to be known.
