82 people killed in elephant attack in Odisha in 2017-18: Minister


Bhubaneswar: In man-animal conflict, as many as 82 people were killed in separate elephant attacks in 2017-18 while 11 elephants were killed during last four years, said Forest and Environment Minister Bijayshree Routray on Wednesday.

Replying to a written question, Routray informed that 11 elephants, 1 tiger, 10 leopards and 119 deer were killed by poachers in last 4 years in Odisha.

The wild animals were killed during 2014-15 to 2017-18.
