Bhubaneswar: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a sand sculpture on FIFA World Cup 2018 scheduled to start in Russia on Thursday.
Sudarsan has created a sand sculpture on FIFA World Cup 2018 with a message “Good Luck! Ball for peace and friendship” at Puri beach in Odisha.
Pattnaik has created a 7-feet high sand sculpture of football and World Cup Trophy in between a stadium by using about 6 tons of sand on it. Students of his sand art institute joined hand with him.
“World cup fever is everywhere. Though India is not playing in this world cup, still people are anxious to see the matches,” said Sudarsan.
Pattnaik, a recipient of the Padma Shri, has participated in more than 60 international sand sculpture championships and festivals across the world and has won many prizes.
He always tries to spread the message around the world through his art.
